The BBC News reported on March 7, 2004, that Dr. Chiara Trombetti of the Humanitas Gavazzeni Institute in Bergamo, Italy, recommends a cup of coffee a day. She backs her assessment on the scientific evidence that coffee contains tannin and antioxidants, which are good for the heart, arteries and liver and can help prevent cirrhosis and gallstones. She also supports that the caffeine in coffee can reduce the risk of asthma attacks and improves circulation within the heart.
